I don't know who the founder of yahoo is or why it's call yahoo...  But to answer the other part of your queston: why do we write .com, why not another word?  Well, com stands for "company".  We write .com because it is a company.  Yahoo is a company. :)

Other words that are at the end of a website address sometimes are .org (for organization), and .edu (for education, this is at the end of websites of schools).

becuz all the basical website gotta have .com unless they're already taken and can have .net or .info i guess so

and about the founder of yahoo i don't know much but i heard it's a american guy and a chinese guy
