My personal favorite president as far as my life has been influenced by the past history would be FDR. After the great depression, social security and conservation in environment had been emphasized. The gov't control over business has been expanded. The role of president went further. And so forth. But when it comes to the greatest throughout the U.S. history, my answer is I really don't know.

Please share your opinion, if you have your favorite, give me reasons that are convincing and making sense.

BTW, I think George W. Bush is the WORST WORST president in the U.S. history, that I can answer....

  1. Abraham Lincoln.

  2. Ronald Reagan

  3. Theodore Roosevelt. He was the last true American bada$$, and he seemed like a good man by all accounts.

  4. my favorite was john f kennedy well he was near the viet nam war and yes it wasn't really a war and we shouldn't' have been there but we were and it was ok for me. he was such a neat persona nd had the chrisma for all this and so did his wife. agree with you on bush whew what a mess hes been.

  5. George Washington

  6. nixon

  7. I don't like Bush either, but there is one undisputed worst president. When pearl harbor happened, the Americans wanted revenge. After a while, (and there is proof the president knew Japan was gonna give in soon) the president sent a nuclear bomb into one of Japan's Cities. After observing the catastrophic effect, he decided to bomb them again. I forgot the name of that President,  but to this day Japanese children are disabled because of him. Who's still suffering in America because of Pearl Harbor?

BTW, the best President is George Washington because he was so humble. They were calling him "Your Highness" but he stopped them and told them to just call him "President".

  8. I'd have to say either Ronald Reagon (sp?) or Abraham Lincoln.

  9. Barack Obama...lol. Just kidding...not yet he's not. Let's see, I think George Washington was the greatest, he was the first and he did a fine job. American Revolution? Here we are today. I think many of our presidents have been great ones and ones who knew how to take care of us.

  10. I think George Washington would be my pick for the greatest American president.  He had no model to follow, but was a man of great integrity and love for our new country and behaved in an honorable manner.  In my lifetime, I would choose Ronald Reagan.

btw, I disagree with both of your choices.  FDR turned us toward socialism; his ideas may have seemed sound at the time, but look at the mess social security is in now.  And the expansion of government control business has led to the suggestion that the government should control oil, dictate banking practices, dictate employment practices to business, and so on (sound like anyone??) and that would move us farther down the road to socialism.  That will be the end of our country.

And George Bush is no where near the worst president the country has ever had. Think Lyndon Johnson, Jimmy Carter, Wilson  - - -

  11. FDR

He did so much to heal the Great Depression.

Lincoln did not do much except free slaves but because he was forced not because he wanted to.

Washington was just the 1st president. Didn't do much.

  12. Teddy roosivelt in my opinion, all the things he did with the mational parks and wildlife conservation, his strong persona, his push for physical fitness, he formed the ncaa, which is now a joke all about $$$.

You could also say the cold war era presidents too, well the whole world can thank them for keeping the world in one piece, especialy for reagan for taking down the soviets.

Washington too for keeping the new us together and everything,I would go with wasington simply because he was the one president who didnt want the mess we have in america now... political parties.      peace

  13. Oprah.

  14. I'm going to have to go with Zachary Taylor, reason being I'm related to him =)

  15. me!

  16. Franklin D Roosevelt.  He had the ability to take a bad situation (the depression) and make it into a good situation - he put people to work and built an infrastructure that made this country second to none.  To bad successive Presidents don't have the foresight to see that the infrastructure is vital to the economy, security, and well being of a country.  Asia and Europe are gaining leaps and bounds in this area.

  17. Andrew Jackson. He shot so many people...

  18. bush! NOOOOTTTTTTTTTT!!! idk who is the fav tho
