  1. Lincoln. He combined the finest attributes of a human being with the idealized attributes of an American to become a fierce warrior yet compassionate advocate for humanity and America.

  2. Its debatable between Washington, Lincoln, and FDR.

  3. FDR.  He led the nation out of the depression started by a Republican president then rallyed the nation when Japan attacked us on December 7, 1941.

He put people to work with the CCC and WPA.

His faith in the American people made America a better place.

Anyone who says Reagan is dead wrong.  Reagan is the reason America went into a tailspin. He had the idea of "I've got mine. You get yours.  By any means necesary.  s***w the poor. They don't deserve anything."  That is not what America is about.

For more of the same be sure to vote McCain. For a real change vote Obama.

  4. kennedy. because in my city has a statue him and i live in brazil. he was famous until in brazil.

  5. Either FDR because he saved the nation from the Depression, Lincoln because he saved the nation from the Civil War, or Woodrow Wilson because he handled WWI amazingly and if the world had accepted his policies it would be a much better place today.

  6. Lincoln.  The forces working against his administration were enormous - winning a war, emancipation of the slaves, the factions within his own party, the death of his son, running his reelection campaign in 1864 - and he juggled and balanced them all very successfully.
