  1. I can only speak for players during my time and I'll go with Joost Van der Westhuizen, David Kirk (why did he retire so young?) and Gregan (even though I absolutely HATE him)... Pichot is my favourite though.

  6. All the experts insist: Gareth Edwards. Perhaps greatest rugby player ever.as A rugby union footballer for Wales, didn't they win 5 championships? I used to watch the blokes for Moseley slightly pre Edwards and there was no comparison. Edwards is a legend and most certainly the  greatest player ever. I once played 2nd string scrum half for a team at Cadbury's, and though I stunk, I know a bit about Rugby Union!

  9. 1) Ken Catchpole. Simply brilliant!! I used to play with his son Mark, he was a very handy halfback as well!!!

    2) Gareth Edwards

    3) I'm not a big fan of Gregan's, but he has won 2 world cups & has played the most number of tests by any player, so he'd definitely figure in most people's top 3 scrumhalfs of all time......

  10. I'd go with Gareth Edwards, he's a legend.

    In more modern times, I would say that Joost van der Westhuizen was the best (and better than Gregan)
