  1. From 1689-1702, William III was king.  His wife, Mary II, was co-monarch until her death in 1694.

Queen Anne was monarch from 1702-1714.  She was married to Prince George of Denmark until his death in 1708, but he never received the title of King.

The rest of the century was Georges.  George I reigned from 1714-27.  His wife had died prior to him ascending the throne, so he had no Queen Consort.  From 1727-1760, George II reigned with Caroline as his Queen.  From 1760-1820, George II was king, with Charlotte as his Queen from 1761 onwards.

  2. Mary I (18 February 1516 – 17 November 1558), also known as Mary Tudor, was Queen of England and Queen of Ireland.

Mary, the fourth crowned monarch of the Tudor dynasty is remembered for briefly returning England to Roman Catholicism. To this end, she had almost three hundred religious dissenters executed; as a consequence, she is often known as Bloody Mary.
