  1. Ronald Reagan lowered them amazingly government revenue increased and there was a remarkable boom in the economy. The trouble is, Congress spent 1.16 for every extra dollar the government took in. They blamed Reagan's tax cuts for the deficit.

  4. If you think that future presidents won't continually raise taxes you're wrong.  If a president promises to not raise taxes they are

    A) pandering for your vote AND

    B) being fiscally irresponsible.  

    This war will cost us upwards of a TRILLION dollars.  How will we pay for that?  The tooth fairy?  Too many Americans want to have their cake and eat it too.

  5. I don't think anyone can answer that honestly.Many have cut taxes in one area but boosted them onerall.We are taxed far higher than most people know.Not only on our payroll checks.And some are federal,others state,and some local.
