  1. Charles II

  2. Depends... James VI bore sole title to Scotland before he inherited the English crown too and was dubbed James I of England

Before him his mother Mary was Queen of the Scots and was the last person to wear the Scottish crown and no other.

As for the las man to bear the title king of Scotland and none other, it was Mary's father, James V of Scotland.I

  3. King James The Sixth of Scotland (also King James the First of The United Kingdom)

King James the First of The United Kingdom happened to also be King James The Sixth of Scotland, the last king. He was the first James to be king of the UK, but five other kings with the name James had ruled before him, so her was sixth there. Do bad James!!

  4. King James I of UK was King James VI of Scotland the last king of Scotland.

  6. James VI of Scotland was the last king to rule only Scotland.  Later in his career he became James I of England and the thrones were united from then on.

  7. The last sole King of Scotland would be James V (10 April 1512 – 14 December 1542). James V was suspicious of the nobility but had much sympathy for his subjects. Sometimes he went about among the people incognito, which his daughter adopted but with less success. He was sometimes called the poor man's king because he would travel the countryside disguised as a poor farmer. The people were grateful for his restoring peace to the land.

He had ability and personal charm but he was fortunate. He had the unhesitating support of the Church. The Church, fearful that James would follow the example of his uncle, Henry, for Reformation, denied him nothing. His was fortunate in foreign affairs also. England and France were allied for a while because France needed English help and Henry needed French support for his divorce of Catherine of Aragon. Thus, because of Scotland's alliance with France, James V was courted by both countries (for a time). He was succeeded by his infant daughter, Mary I of Scot, who was actually the last sole monarch of Scotland.

  8. The last King of Scots (who wasn't King of anywhere else)was  James VI, before he became King of England.

For Scotland, the monarch is the King or Queen of the people, not the country.

He later became James I of England

If you mean the last King who never became King of another realm, James V was the last

Some people have no sense of humour jeez! lol

  10. If you mean King that wasnt ruler of both England and Scotland, then James V.

James VI his grandson was king of scotland before Elizabeth I of England kicked the bucket and thus he took over for his 2nd cousin after that

  11. Billy Connolly

  12. James VI of Scotland became James I of England, but he was King solely of Scotland before he became King of England. His Grandson Charles II was proclaimed King In Scotland after the execution of his father but wasn't proclaimed King in England for a number of years as the monarchy had technically been suspended.

The last monarch to only rule Scotland but not England was Mary, Queen of Scots and the last King to rule Scotland but never England was James V, her father. He was also the nephew of Henry VIII of England.
