Affirmed and ALydar had great duels in 1978.  Poor Alydar - he was a great horse, just born in the wrong year.  I remember watching those races and rooting for Affirmed.

I hope Big Brown can do it.  He won by a ton today without needing the whip, so.....

in 1978 it was Affurmed

the one befor that was in 1977 and that was Seattle Slew.

I think Big Brown has a really good chance at getting that title!!!  he ran beautifully today!!!!

Affirmed beat Alydar by the narrowest of margins in all three races.  That was a classic Triple Crown duel.

And the chances of Big Brown - HUGE!!!!!!!!!!

The way he won those two races - with such large margins and with such an accelleration - I think we will have our winner this year!
