  1. Hydrogen fuel is just like many alternate energy sources. It works. It has been produced for many years for specific processes where other cheaper forms do not work. I was on Submarines in the 60's and all our air was produced by breaking down sea water into H2 and O2. It, like Solar, etc. has just been very expensive and not as reliable as fossil fuels.

It is just economics, not technology or conspiracies that has kept them from massive use. As oil gets more expensive, combined with mans desire to produce less pollution, they will be used more.

  2. It takes approximately 50 kilowatt hours of electricity to produce an amount of hydrogen with the energy equivalent of one gallon of gasoline.

The cost of production of electricity using solar panels is approximately 60 cents per kilowatt hour.

The cost of the hydrogen is approximately $30.00 for an amount of hydrogen with an energy equivalent equal to noe gallon of gasoline.  That is approximately ten times the cost of gasoline.

Yes, you can run your house and your car on hydrogen extracted electrolytically from water using electricity generated by solar cells if you can afford to pay approximately ten times more than what you are paying now.

  3. Where did the hydrogen come from?
