  2. you will have to narrow things down a bit here sport.

    Give us a year! During the 1800's a lot of the time Kansas was considered "the west".  When gold in California was found, the line shifted a bit!

    Also, over the last hundred or two years, there have been several rather notorious folks, some real, some doubtful (Like Joaquin Murietta).

    The folks who were on Alcatraz were from a variety of places, and then in the pacific northwest you have the likes of Howard Tracy.

    Pin it down a bit for some in depth answers please.
