Who was the pupil who knew more than the teacher?

too will see that He is not a teacher, that is an understatement.  He is the Alpha and the Omega....He is

GOD.

If you consider Jesus Christ as the teacher, none of His students had ever become greater than He.

It  is very difficult to evaluate and assess who is greater between the two. (Plato, the teacher from Aristotle his student.)

Comparison should have to consider other factors constant.

As to the question "who knew more" this depends on the time frame of acquisition of knowledge! It may be possible that during the teacher's time, acquisition of knowledge may be easy while it may be difficult in the time  of the student or vice-versa.

How do one person know someone's knowledge if his knowledge is not totally exposed?  In no way we can have a meaningful  over-all comparison. It may be possible that certain aspect is more on the student or on the teacher, considering the accumulated knowledge.

Note: Someone had commented about my un-edited answer found in the first paragraph. Sorry, I consider Jesus Christ as my God and idolized HIM as my Most Noble Teacher. I think it's not an understatement.  This depends on how you defined the word "teacher."
