Some yank "let it slip" a week or so ago on a live TV show in the US that its Lord Linley.  Our press still cannot tell you officially, so this is from the New Zealand Herald.........

Viscount Linley, son of the late Princess Margaret, has been named as the royal at the centre of a s*x and drug extortion scandal in Britain.

The 45-year-old, who couldn't be named in Britain because of court restrictions, was outed on US television.

Two Britons, Ian Strachan, 30, and Sean McCuigan, 40, are being held in two London jails on charges of attempting to extort over $120,000 from the Queen's nephew.

The men allegedly claimed they had a video of a royal aide performing oral s*x on the royal.

Britain's Sunday Times said the men also claimed the footage showed the royal aide snorting cocaine from an envelope allegedly supplied by the royal.

The mystery royal is actually David Albert Charles Armstrong-Jones, Viscount Linley, Princess Margaret's only son and Queen Elizabeth II's nephew.

In October 2007, Viscount Linley was named on American television and an Australian website as the prospective victim of a blackmail attempt. Two men were arrested after they allegedly attempted to extort £50,000 to prevent release of a video that had an aide stating that he had had oral s*x with a member of the Royal family. The aide is also allegedly seen on a video tape taking cocaine from an envelope embossed with his employer's name. The scam was exposed when a detective, posing as a royal aide, met the two men in a London hotel on 11 September and was shown the video.
