Assuming Jordan is #1....

I will start with an "outside the box" choice-- Oscar Robertson, he averaged a triple double years ago when stats were not as easy to come by.

  1. Magic Johnson - In his 3rd season he was 0.4 apg, and 0.5 rpg from a triple double, his career stats were 19.5 / 11.2 / 7.2.

    -5 rings, 3 final mvps, 3 mvps

  2. I gotta go with Magic Johnson hands down. 5 championship rings in the modern era. Oscar only got 1 and he played in the 60s and 70s. Kobe is not n Magics level. If u young kids dont know he is he greatest pg ever

  3. Earvin "Magic" Johnson

I agree that Michael Jordan is the greatest ever, and I would say that Magic is next.  Ultimately basketball is a team sport, and Magic was a consummate team player.  In my opinion he was the greatest passer in NBA history, and he made all of his teammates better.  He had an intense competitiveness that drove him to do whatever it took to win.

Not to mention his great career resume:

    5× NBA Champion (1980, 1982, 1985, 1987, 1988)

    3× NBA MVP (1987, 1989–1990)

    12× All-Star (1980, 1982–1992)

    3× NBA Finals MVP (1980, 1982, 1987)

    9× All-NBA First Team Selection (1983–1991)

    1× All-NBA Second Team Selection (1982)

    12× All-Star (1980, 1982–1992)

    1980 NBA All-Rookie Team

    2× NBA All-Star Game MVP (1990, 1992)

  4. Wilt Chamberlain
