  1. Joe Bugner he was the thickest skinned of all of them

  2. The three that come to mind are :

Rocky Marciano: Even though he didn't have the best competition he still faced the best available without dodging anyone, he had amazing stamina and great will power as well as a metal chin,he was often the smaller fighter against his opponents, he had a short reach, he cut easily and he did not have the best or the fanciest footwork but every time he stepped into the ring for a professional fight,he came out victorious, people often mistake his high KO ratio for actual one punch knock out power, he wasnt the hardest hitter of his day, but he was the most consistent, he had a nearly super human level of stamina that allowed him to throw countless punches non stop thus he often pummeled a lot of his opponents down and finished them off with his power right hand, the suzie q(i wonder why he named it that), say what you want about the rock, but a man with so many physical obstacles that still manages to retire undefeated deserves a lot of respect

Evander Holyfield: A lot of people tend to forget that Holyfield was often the smaller fighter in his fights, he wasn't the hardest hitter, nor the fastest, he wasn't the most technical either but he somehow he always knew how to make the best use of what he had, he could handle all kinds of fighters, punchers, boxers, brawlers and sluggers, he always overcame the odds palced before him and managed to come out on top, let us not forget that this is a man who dominated the cruiserweight division and went on to become a FOUR time world champion in the heavyweight division!! i myself i am not a big holyfield fan but i got to admit, he is one of a kind, and most definitely one of the toughest fighters to ever put on gloves.

Joe Frazier: People often remember Joe for his fights with Ali and his defeat at the hands of Foreman, but very often we forget that prior to his figrst ali fight he was dominating the heavyweight division as it's undisputed champ defeating opponent after opponent,he was a straight forward fighter who was willing to take three punches just to land one, his no nonsense never back down style was emulated by many philly fighters after him,in his fights with Ali despite taking a lot of punsihment he never hit the canvas knocked out and when he fought with Foreman he kept on getting up even after receiving a foreman right hand to the face (not many people on this planet can get back up after getting hit by foreman in the face).....i think people don't give him enough credit, he was an amazing fighter with the heart of a lion and he is definetely one of the toughest heavyweights ever.

  3. Joe Jackson

  4. For just pure toughness, you have to go with Rocky Marciano.  The guy was short and lacking a good jab and defense.  So in order for him to land his punches, he had to walk through the other guys offense.  He fought through swollen eyes and a nose ripped in half.

And I am surprised that no one mentioned Smokin Joe Frazier.  Like Marciano, he was short and had to wade himself right in.  George Foreman knocked him down 6 times and he got up 6 times.  If the referee didn't stop it, he may have gone down 106 times but probably would have gotten up each time.

Mike Tyson was not the toughest mentally at all!  Not even close!  When things got too rough, he would break down and quit!

  5. Iron Mike

  6. The Rock!!! You can't say Foreman as he quit after Ali and Tyson quit on his chair!

The Rock was 185 pound and retired unbeaten!!!

  7. Ali. How mentally and physically tough do you have to be, to do what he did  in the George Foreman fight.

  8. rocky marciano in boxing but if yall looking for toughest heavyweights in marital arts period i have 2 names for u

FEDOR AND ALEXANDER KARELIN  both russian both natural!

  9. JOE LEWIS

  10. ROCKY BALBOA!!!

  11. depends what u think tough is

i think its the most feared, best chin and ability to hurt someone severely... therefore probably Ali the Greatest

  12. I mean he isn't that tough now...but probably Mike Tyson.

  13. best welterweight-matt hughes

    feather-urijah faber

heavy-I dont know brian stann maybe

  14. rocky marciano !!!

  15. Ali

  16. A few come to mind right away

-Evander Holyfield (basically a blown up Cruiser fighting guys as big as Riddick Bowe and as strong as Mike Tyson and winning)

-Rocky Marciano (the guy is the definition of a tough fighter, never beaten as a pro, murderous power)

-George Foreman (among the most vicious ko punchers of all time, perfect gentleman outside the ring...and one h**l of a salesman)

-Jack Dempsey (about as tough as they come physically, mentally i'm not so sure about but anyone who uses a badly broken hand to knockout and break his opponents jaw makes my list anyday)

  17. Rocky Marciano.  The only undeafeated heavyweight champion of the world.
