  1. rey mysterio

  2. I must say EXCELLANT question sir... I'm really trying to think back to some of the more old school champions. BTW are we talking just World Champions or WWE/F Champions?

I would have to go with Mikey Whipwreck winning the ECW Title, that was a holy **** moment in my opinion. Now THAT was an underdog champion. I could go back into other titles (US, IC, Tag Team) of diffrent feds but I won't as it seems you are focusing on World Titles.

Oh two things, sadly David Arquette was WCW Champion *SIGH* so he is in the running I guess. And onerable mention goes to a man who got thisclose to a WWF Championship Taka Michinoku when he fought HHH and d**n did he have so many convinced that he was gonna win that match. Great performance by both men.

  3. NEITHER.

THE ULTIMATE UNDERDOG CHAMPION HAD TO BE:

    MIKEY

    WHIPWRECK

    IN THE ORIGINAL EC-DUB

  4. Rey Mysterio defiently.  He tries so hard and has a short WHC title reign to show for it.  And hes a fan favorite.

You see his attack on Kane on Raw last Monday, its kinda hard to ask a guy like Rey to just jump a 7 foot monster.  So it just shows how undersized Rey is.

    Go 619!

  5. I think CM Punk!!! He used his brains to get the title!!! Which is more than what I can say for the rest of them!!!

  6. Mysterio when he won the WHC

  7. I'll go back a ways here, but I'll say Bob Backlund was the ultimate underdog champ.  He wasn't especially big (around 240 lbs..) or fast, or powerful; he relied soley on a very solid amateur background, his incredible fitness, and his superb technical skills to compete.  It seemed like Backlund was ALWAYS up against someone bigger and stronger, but yet he'd always find a way to win.  Even when the Iron Sheik "beat" him for the title, Backlund was never pinned, and did not submit to the Sheik's Camel Clutch;  his mgr, Arnold Skoaland, threw in the towel, giving the Iron Sheik the title.
