  1. I'm gonna go for something different and say EVE, like Adam and Eve from the bible? Not sure but thought I would put something different than everybody else

  2. i look down at you with shame bradley... you dissappoint your master. btw its martha washington

  3. While Dolly Madison was the first to be referred to as the "First Lady," that honor was bestowed on her at her funeral.

The first living woman to be widely known as "The First Lady" was Harriet Lane, the niece of lifelong bachelor (and occasionally alleged homosexual) James Buchanan, the 15th President.

  4. Martha Washington

  5. Abigail Adams. John and Abigail Adams were the first to move into the White House in 1800 (before it was completed).

  6. Martha Washington. Since George was the first president, then I'm guessing his wife was the first "First Lady".

  7. Dolley Madison

  8. I believe that Dolly Madison, wife of James, president during the War of 1812, was the first to be referred to as "the First Lady" of the nation.

  9. Well Martha Washington was the 1st first lady under the Articles of Confederation.

However Dolly Madison was the first to get that name

and John Hanson's wife would have been the real 1st first lady

but I can't remember her name

I just looked it up her name was Jane so Jane Hanson was the first First Lady unless you want to get into the stages in the Ratification of the Articles of Confederation:)

  10. Martha Washington, George's wife
