  1. By D-Day I am going to assume you mean the Invasion of Normandy during WWII. The Allied countries who sent some kind of support to the landings were, in alphabetical order, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Czechoslovakia, Free France, Greece, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Denmark, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The opposings forces of the Axis powers were entirely from n**i Germany.

  2. The US, England, Canada, and France were fighting the Germans.

  3. Primarily American and British soldiers landed on the beaches of Normandy on 6 June 1944, beginning the drive to liberate mainland Europe from German occupation. British Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery led the Allied forces in the invasion against the German Oberbefehlshaber West Gerd von Rundstedt, who commanded the German army in France. Over 850,000 Allied troops landed on the Norman beaches under heavy fire from the 380,000 German soldiers stationed along the coast. It would take the Allies over a month to break through the coastal defenses.
