Who was worse --- Hitler or Stalin?

Or were they the same? What do you think about us being allies with Stalin in WWII?

What would have happened if Hitler didn't turn on Stalin? What if they remained partners and tried to carve up Europe?

Both bad, but Hitler was worse because he targeted multiple racial groups, tried to take over the world, and violated multiple treaties including the Treaty of Versailles.  Stalin just killed millions of his own people and oppressed them horribly.

As for being allies during WWII, it was necessary.  With no eastern front to distract Hitler, we would have either lost or been unable to get a foothold in mainland Europe.  England would have fallen also.

Hitler and Stalin together could have never worked.  Fascism and communism go together like oil and water.  They don't mix.  They would have fought each other no matter what.

1. Stalin's extermination was based on class, Hitler's on race.

2. Hitler's fundemental reason for war was the extermination of inferior races in Europe. This meant slavs and Jews as detailed in Mein Kampf. This is why he invaded the Soviet Union instead of Britain.

3. The US alliance with Stalin was absolutely noble and necessary. If the Soviet Union had fallen, the free, democratic world would have had serious problems.

i know Stalin killed more of his own....and both were pretty bad...but the way Hitler tortured and killed the Jews, was just way worse.

i say stalin im not letting hitler off the hook fro what he did but stalin deliberately starved his people and sent his army without proper gear for the time of year and he did kill more people then hitler and it was his own countries people.

Hitler was the main cause of the holocaust so I guess that Hitler was worse. what he did to the Jews can never be described. Also I think he should never be forgiven for his actions.

Individually, Stalin was a degenerate pedophile, Hitler was a closet homo who thought taking over the world would convice people he liked girls.  

The Non-Aggression Pact was a farce from the beginning.  Hitler knew it wasn't a serious pact, he just wanted it to fool Stalin not to do anything while his forces took over precious East European real estate at the outset of the war, real estate that Soviets REALLY wanted.  

The fact that Stalin was schocked to the near point of being faint that his good pal Hitler would betray his word doesn't speak well of Stalin either.  And I just don't see ultra fascist armies fighting alongside ultra commy armies for too long.

                           I'm not even going to try to answer your first bit of the question.

                            But the second bit ? " What would have happened"?

                               My guess is between them they would have won the war, they would have taken over the world, including USA!!

                                 It would have all been divided up.

Fascist and Communist, all people would have been subjugated in one form another.

                                     It wouldnt take long for another war to break out, (the two systems are opposite) one would need to rule the world.

                                       Who would win that battle?

                  Very very difficult to predict, so I'm not going to try that either.

                    I will say this , in my mind it was Russia that won the war  , never mind who was leading them, they won it for us.

                    The way the allies tried to carve up the 'spoils' by leaving Russia out of the picture was a disgrace, not only that but plans were afoot to take over the USSR!

Hitler's ultimate goal was lebensraum, which he believed could be accomplished by annexing Russia.  I don't know how he couldn't have turned on Stalin.

Who was worse?  I'm not sure.  At least Stalin figured out a way to win.

Hitler, he killed 6 million jews and other minorities, Stalin killed 20 million, but Hitler started world war 2 which in total killed 68 million, so if you're basing this on deaths then hitler wins by a land slide. Both would never had worked together, They would started World War 3 years after England and North America were defeated. If Hitler never turned on Stalin, we'd be writing in German, and probably not allowed on the internet.

But, like stalin said kill one person you are a murderer, kill a million and you are a leader.

Both were terrible, both are probably fighting about who gets top bunk of the bunk bed they share in h**l.
