Who was your favourite Queen, Anne or Katherine?

Who do you think was the best queen? And who did more for the people?

Assuming you mean Anne Boleyn and Katherine of Aragon, I would say Katherine was the better queen, as she was born a princess and trained up for it.  The people loved her, and when Henry was away, he would leave her as his regent.  Not so with Anne.

If you mean Catherine of Aragon, I prefer her to Anne.  She was a good Queen, and Henry was married to her for longer than all his other five wives put together, and probably loved her for longer than all the others put together as well.  She had a tough time, bearing all those children, with only one surviving.  She acted as regent while henry was away at war, and did a good job of it.

I am sorry for her being cast off by Henry because she couldn't have a son.  And  I think Henry treated her very badly.

Anne Boleyn was a clever, ambitious woman, but I don't find her particularly likeable, though she was very brave at the end.

Catherine of Aragon was certainly the one who the people cared for, they called Anne Boleyn 'the goggle-eyed w***e'.

If you mean the choice between Anne Boleyn and Catherine of Aragon, then I believe it would be Catherine.

Anne is my favourite Consort and if she had a better start (like wasn't the hated woman who everyone blamed for the break up of the King;s marriage), I believe she had all the potential to be a great Queen. And she'd be particularly good along with a weak King. As it was, however, I don't think she was the best Queen possible.

Catherine of Aragon, on the other hand, was born a Princess and knew what it meant to be a true Royal. She could be a great Queen, if she had been the eldest daughter of Ferdinand and Isabella, and she was a wonderful and beloved Queen Consort.

If your choice, however, is between Anne Boleyn and Katerina Parr, or Anne Boleyn and Katerine Howard, then Anne Boleyn would be my obvouls choice.
