  1. Haven't done my own laundry for years.  It's not time/cost effective.  I send my laundry out in the AM and pick it up in the PM every Wednesday.

  2. I wash my own clothes and sometimes my family's as well. Here are the steps I use.

First, just get all your clothes into a laundry basket, separating special/delicate/weird colored pieces as you go. If you don't know if something has to be washed or handwashed separately, read the labels on the clothing. Put all the ones that can't be washed with the rest aside to do a separate  load later. (Don't forget not to wash reds with whites.)

Second, make sure all the clothes are washer and dryer ready. For example, if a sweatshirt has strings from the hood, tie them together so the string doesn't go out one end and get lost.

Third, put the clothes in the washer. Set it to the type you want. Just do normal everything because you don't have special pieces in there anymore.

Fourth, take them out of the washer when they're done and put them in the dryer (or hang them up on a line). Hang them up if you don't want them to shrink.

Fifth, when the normal load is drying, do your special load that you saved until now.

    Sixth, fold everything.

Seventh, put everything away in drawers or hang up.

    Good luck with this!

  3. Me ,learning when I moved out,yes

  4. I wash my clothes, I sort them whites, darks, bathroom towels, then kitchen towels then.  Check and make sure you don't have hand washables in with them and then launder to the maker's directions, and yes I know how...I've done it for 30 years and counting :-)

  5. you put your clothes in the washer while the water is running and you put some soap in, but not too much. we have a bottle and put maybe 1/2 of a cup or less and then you close the top and then you turn the nob to 15 minutes or something like that (i'm saying this out of memory so i'm not sure and you might have different washer.

  6. i just started to wash my own clothes but my mother did it before

when i was 8 years old and lived with my father i did everything around the house , you fill it with either dark clothes or all light clothes and you add atleast one cap full of detergent and a cap full of fabric softener

its pretty easy once you get the hang of it and sometimes it just depends on the washer and dryer you use

hope this helped in some way :]

  7. Yes i wash for the 5 of us two times a week... i learned by 12 yrs old to wash clothes and have been doing it for 30 yrs ... i seperate all the clothes into piles:

    1. darks

    2. towels and sheets

    3. whites

    4. lite colored clothes

    5. jeans

    7 reds

    8. fine washables...

and once every two weeks i wash everyones blankets to keep them smelling fresh.

  8. I was clothes for my family sort your clothes by colors

  9. i have to wash my clothes

all i do is divide the clothes into 3 piles-dark, white, and colors, and delicate.

Then i put one of the piles in the washing machine. Put soup in the change the buttons

    Dark-cold, cold

    White-hot,cold

    Colors-warm, cold

    delicate-directed/ask mom!!

there is a dile thing and just change that to in between Hevey and normal.

then there is a uppy and downy thing and that says small, medium, large, and mini, and super.  change this according to how big the load of Landry is.

then pull that dile thing up-close the lid and it should start!

  10. since i was ten I had to wash my own clothing. how do you do it?... ask your mom or dad.

  11. I wash my own clothes.  I buy Era laundy detergent, Shout pre-laundry stain fighter, for those hard to clean stains, Gain Fabric softner or downy, if your washing machine has a fabric dispenser.  I wash all my clothes in coldwater, and wash colors and whites together, because the water is cold, not hot.  Hot water sets stains.  Then I hang dry them, unless their socks or certain underwear, or t-shirts.  My good stuff I hang up on the shower curtain rod in my bathroom, so that the colors don't fade in the dryer, unless you do an air fluff setting on the dryer.  If I have a piece of clothing that is red, that has never been washed before, then I will wash it with other colors, so that it won't bleed unto my whites.  Once it has been officially washed for the first time, then I can wash it with whites on a coldwater cycle.  Coldwater saves energy, and only wash when you have a full load of clothes.  Good luck!!!

  12. I wash them. I used to use a machine but now use that hand washer called the Wonder Wash. It gets them a heck of a lot cleaner without using electricity and uses less water and detergent.

I've been washing clothes since I was 7, so I do know how to do them.

  13. I wash my own clothes and yes I know how...follow these steps...

Sort out your dirty clothes into five piles, each of which should be washed separately:

    Reds (especially non-fast)

    Dark colored clothes

    White clothes

    Towels

    Linens

Additional piles for light colored clothes, bright colored clothes, denim, or delicate apparel (whatever is appropriate).

Choose which pile you want to wash first.

Prepare all of your clothes. Empty all of your pockets to free any pens, money, or important papers (although money can survive a wash). Close zippers to prevent sagging. Also, turn decorated t-shirts inside out, to eliminate peeling of decor.

Treat any heavy stains with stain remover before washing.

Add an appropriate amount of detergent into washing machine. Your detergent bottle should have a chart that tells what amount should be used for your wash load. If using 'High Efficiency' with soft water use minimum amount. Add liquid softener if desired. If you need to add bleach put it in appropriate dispenser. Always handle bleach carefully as it can cause harm to skin, eyes and clothing if it splashes.

Select the appropriate water temperature. Colors are washed in cold/warm water. Whites, under most circumstances, can be washed in hot water without problem. To kill mites, bed linens (especially pillow-cases) need hot water.

When in doubt, go with cold water, as hot water can shrink clothes.

Add clothes to the washer but do not over stuff the washer as the clothes will not get very clean if there is too much laundry in it.

After the clothes are washed, shake them out so they will dry easier and with less wrinkles.

Check the tags on your clothing to see how they should be dried. Note that some clothes may require hang drying, whereas others can be tossed in the dryer. Some samples of clothes that need to be hang dried are: bras, swim suits, delicate apparel, quick drying material like work-out wear.

Choose which drying cycle you want, whether for colors or whites. Add a dryer sheet to soften your fabrics.

Fold and/or iron your clothes immediately after drying. .

Take your clothes from the laundry room and put them in the closet or drawer where they belong.

Tips: Do not put anything in the dryer that you feel may shrink. Let it air-dry, to be safe.

If you don't fold clothes right away, they tend to become wrinkled.

If you have an extremely large wash load, make sure you set the washer to its heaviest setting.

Warnings!!! Do not overload the washer! If you think that a load is too big, then wash it separately, or save it for your next laundry load. Overloading a washer with an agitator can damage the drive mechanism for the agitator. Overloading a high efficiency washer will greatly reduce the ability of the washer to clean your clothes.

Make sure to be careful with wash cycle temperatures.

Shirts may develop holes after being washed with heavier items.

Never mix detergents & chemicals! Bleach does NOT mix with Ammonia, for example. (This creates a deadly, poisonous gas). Read warning labels on all chemicals used to ensure no accidental mixing occurs.

Only wash a few denim items at a time; denim takes up a lot of room and can overload a washing machine.

  14. Its easy. put the clothes in the machine. open the detergent container. fill it up to the line. close it. select the wash mode. push and hold start. go have s*x with your girlfriend. Its as easy as 1-2-3.

  15. I do.Follow the instructions on the detergent box or bottle and it should be no problem.Don't mix colors like red and blue with other colors unless they are color-fast( check the label for material ), use only color-safe bleach on colored clothes too.

  16. I wash my clothes in the washer with Tide and Downy Fabric Softener. I seperate colors and whites. Yes, I do know how. My mom taught me.

  17. I do.  I put them in the washing machine and turn it to the correct setting, then the machine does the rest.  I do know how.
