Who watched the EliteXC Kimbo fight? What is wrong with James Thompson's ear?

What the h**l is that thing on James Thompson's ear? I thought at first that it was a tumor or something. But then I realized that it was a speed bag.

TLE_MGR  is 100 percent correct its cauliflower ear'.. it was build up of the lfuid ..ur posed to drain the ear..but most mma fighters dont.....heres a link to a youtube video so u can understand it a bit more

He got what is known as califlour ears. It's what happens when the blood vessels in your ear get broken(usually happens when your ear gets rubbed on a wrestling mat quite a bit).

its called Cauliflower ear you get it from wrestling. Don't worry your precious Kimbo will never get one

You ear has small capillary veins and when they rupture they clog and make the cartilage in your ear swell up with fluids.  If the fluid isn't drained it begins to harden like stone.

Most call it cauliflower ear because of the way the damaged ear shapes up.  The best way to keep your ears safe is to wear the ear guards when you are grappling or wrestling.

cauliflower ear and it's caused by hits to the ear. wrestlers & combat sports participants are regulars to this.
