That was such an awesome game by the Tongans they showed so much passion and never gave up, they should be really proud of themselves. The last 2 tries by Tonga were amazing, I was really hoping for an upset. At the beginning of the game I actually thought the Springboks were going to win by a huge margin but I was proven wrong.

What are your thoughts of the game?

  1. Im a die hard Samoan supporter but am very disappointed in their performances in the cup,but the day has come to give a big ups to Tonga,AWESOME,AWESOME..congrats to you Tonga, iwas on the edge of my seat, and hahaha to SouthAfrica.they looked down at Tonga and they nearly paid the ultimate price, well done Tonga, its hard for me to say it but if Samoa played with the same PASSION as you, well watch out to the world,Once again good luck and we all behind you against England....GO TONGA

  2. Good game played with guts and determination, unfortunatly for Ikale Tahi I think that was their world cup final, I can't see them backing up against Engerlund.

  3. Tonga showed incredible resilience, passion and determination. It was such a pleasure to watch them play. They took it to SA with all they had and more. Wouldn't it be great if everyone could dig that deep to inspire their team. The Boks were not that convincing in this match. Hopefully other teams will learn the valuable lesson of not taking an opponent for granted.

  4. Ok first off, I was really ticked when I could not watch the game , (the live stream which I watch the games, was mysteriously GONE?) but then again thank goodness because if SA are being this dumb playing a b team then they deserve a spanking. It is the World Cup this is it the greatest stage to play at, your B team should not exist unless your A team has changed due to injuries.

But let me say this, I am most impressed with Tonga and Georgia. The IRB needs to help develop these smaller nations, they are clearly determined and are proving their worth for all the world to see, and I take my hat off to them.

But hey SA needs to keep going strong they can do it.

  5. I watched the game, I didn't think it was ever going to be a walk over with the Tongans being so focused at the moment and SA haven't been playing that great. Was quite interesting when SA decided to bring on the big guns scoring twice shortly after they arrived. Any other team would be intimidated and the game would slide away. But not the Tongans, played with their heart on their sleeves, for the majority of the game and continued entertaining the idea of a win!! SA didn't deserve to come out the other side!!
