Who were J. Grimes Everett and Ms. Merriweather in To Kill a Mockingbird.?

It's at the end. JGE is a religious guy that all the ladies are talking about at Aunt Alexandra's missionary society tea.  The ladies love this guy for the work he is doing in Africa (I think) but they have no desire to help black people in their won community.

I think it's Mrs. Merriweather who even calls her maid a "sulky darky" (shockingly racist) when they are talking about the trial and black people not staying in their place.

It's the IRONY of the "good Christian Ladies" being racists in their own back yard.
