Henry VIII was only heartless by putting his wives to death which was only 2 (Ann Boryal, and Catherine Howard) The others he divorced, died on after childbirth, or out lived him.

The most heartless was Elizabet- Countess of Bathory. Also known as "The Bloody Countess".

She lived during the time of Elizabeth I, in Hungary (Transylvania). She believed that the bathing in the blood of young women would keep her young. She killed and tortured hundreds of peasant girls, and wasn't caught until young noble women started disappearing.

Because of her station, she didn't have a trial, but was sentenced to be walled into a small room with only a small hole for food and water.  She died a shriveled old woman 3 years later.

She was part of the inspiration for the movie monster we love- Dracula.
