Who were the common instigators of WWI and WWII?

I'm curious with 30 million murdered by the Japanese as well as many other atrocities, Japan is just considered a footnote to WWII?

  1. WW1 was instigated by Russia. They wanted to expand into Austria-Hungary. So they aggressively promoted "Pan-Slavism" the concept that all slavic groups should form their own states. This support led to the murder of Archduke Ferdinand. Then the war kicked off.

    all i know is my dad was captured in crete by the germans and taken to german pow camp for 4 yrs bless him and thousands like him.

  8. Lol I wrote a 12 page essay on this so you cannot put it into a short answer. You should have asked what the trigger was. Trigger for WWI: mainly murder of Franz Ferdinand.

    WWII: Rise of Nazism due to the Depression and harshness of Treaty of Versailles.
