Who were the main historians who wrote histories on Ancient Rome?

I'm looking for primary sources (eg. Polybius) who reported on ancient rome, particularily the roman republic.

  1. Livy, Tacitus, Suetonius.


  2. Don't forget Pliny, both the Elder and the Younger.  

  3. Plutarch (wrote parralel lives which had some greeks but alot on the founding and evoultion of the republic)

    Juvenal (wrote Satires that would probably be rated R18)

    Livy

    Arrian (more military than the actual republic)
