There were many who came up with laws, but if you are suggesting that men like Albert Einstein weren't the real scientists, then all I have to say is that the ones who got the credit were the ones who published them.

After the fall of the Roman Empire, Europe fell into a dark age because of the Catholic Church's persecution of anyone who sought knowledge outside the Bible. Meanwhile the Arabs preserved the ancient knowledge. Then came the Renaissance in Europe and it was the Arabs who resisted discovery, so they fell way behind until the present.
