One on each side : different names but both very English, dating back to Doomsday. The names are NOT Anglo-Saxon, Welsh, Scots or Irish.

  1. Cueto = Van den Berg

    Cueto= "hillock"; cf. Catalan cot "hill"

    Van den Berg = literally from the hill/mountain (no mountains in Holland so must be hill!)

    Montgomery=English, Scottish, and northern Irish (of Norman origin): habitational name from a place in Calvados, France, so named from Old French mont ‘hill’ + a Germanic personal name composed of the elements guma ‘man’ + ric ‘power’. In Ireland this surname has been Gaelicized as Mac Iomaire and in Scotland as Mac Gumaraid.

    Sorry should be ;

    Cueto=Montgomery

    Oh d**n! Ill try again.
