Who (what company) can do an inexpensive dna comparison check of 2 envelope samples for me?

both are deceased and relatives, and it's for the purpose of genealogy. They're in the same family so certain things should match for our line.

What an interesting question. Have you done a google search to try and find the information. I really don't have a useful answer other than *google* it.

Familytreedna is a well known player in the genealogy and dna field.  The standard type of testing for this purpose involves a cheek swap sample.

What you want, is something different since it involves different types of samples. The obvious fly in the ointment is absolute proof of WHO wrote the envelope or licked it.  It raises the question of "integrity" of the sample. In other words, it may seem obvious that the writer licked the envelope.. but "obvious" is not scientific proof.

You certainly can contact one of the known companies to discuss this with them.  I would be skeptical that they would try that.. and if they did, I highly doubt that it would be in the same price range as the testing commonly offered.
