Keegan Bradley has been very consistent this year, although he could not perform like last year when he won the PGA Championship, still the American had a very decent season.
Bradley missed a few cuts but having fourteen finishes inside the top-25 shows a great deal about his skills.
Bradley started the season slowly but, since the Open Championship, he really shifted gears. He won the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational, which was followed by a T3 finish at the PGA Championship.
Currently at world number 12, he was below average in the FedEx Cup playoffs but his Ryder Cup performances were absolutely amazing.
One reason which has accounted for his success lately is his desire to silence his critics. Bradley uses a Belly Putter and with the PGA announcing that the club with will be outlawed by 2016, he has been under immense scrutiny.
As rules are being amended to ban the use of anchorship in golf, users of long putters are having a hard time, especially in terms of dealing with the critics.
Keegan even said that he might pursue a court against this ban but one thing is for sure that he will come out next season with all guns blazing.
Phil Mickelson might be 42 years old now but it seems that age is not affecting his golf at the moment. Once again the American is coming off from a brilliant season on the PGA Tour.
Mickelson did not miss any cuts on the PGA Tour this season. This shows that he is playing some consistent golf.
Phil’s victory at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am showed his true class, especially the way he shot his final round of 64. It can be considered as the best round of the year.
Lefty lost his way slightly in the middle of the season when he missed a few cuts but he came back strongly in the FedEx Cup playoffs.
Phil’s ability to shoot low rounds makes him a threat to date now. He might be over forty but he still is playing the golf of his life.
Mickelson earned $4,203,821 this year which is a huge amount and, with the way he is playing, definitely he will be a major threat next year.
If one player after Rory McIlroy has had a terrific season, it was Tiger Woods. Former top ranked player has had a brilliant season. He won three titles this year, not to forget that he played a full season after 2005.
More importantly for him, he was in contention in almost all the majors. This was a very positive sign for Tiger. It shows that he still has a lot of golf in him.
He also said that he will be aiming for majors next year. With Tiger going for the glory next season, he will definitely make some big headlines next year.
