Who will be Aston Villa's first choice keeper for 08/09 season?

I'm trying to work out my dreamteam team, and would appreciate it if anybody could give me a helping hand on who will be Aston Villa's number 1 this season?

It is going to be Brad Friedel without a doubt.

He is one of the most consistent Goalkeeper in the Premiership for many years now and I think Brad Guzman will benefit from having a fellow American Goalkeeper who can really help him develop his own game.

Scott Carson, Villa's former number 1 last season, is now with West Bromwich Albion

Got to agree with Friedel.  Gueuzan (sp?) will be the back up keeper IMO

Probably Freidal, but don't underestimate Guzan.  He looks to be doing very well in the Olympic warm-up games, and a strong performance in China might earn him some playing time.....

I would have to say Brad Friedel because he has the most experience amongst the three Villa goalkeepers, notably in terms of premiership games played.

Has to be Brad Friedel.

He has been a consistent player in the premiership for many years with hardly any howlers and a few wonderful saves.

Also, you don't pay 2.5 million for a 37 year old who will sit on the bench until his short contract runs out.

Lastly, the only person to challenge Friedel for the No.1 shirt at villa is Stuart Taylor, he has proved to be unreliable and is clearly not as good a keeper as friedel, he might now become understudy to friedel. There was talk of Villa signing an American 'keeper but that has died down as Friedel was believed to be Martin O'Neill's No.1 target and this American 'keeper was lined up only if the bid to bring Friedel to Villa Park failed
