Who will be a better pro: Derrick Rose or O.J. Mayo?

OJ Mayo is a celebrity idiot. Just like Telfair, he'll be a joke in a few years. Lebron James was ruined by the fanfare too. He had a lot of potential, but he's much too interested in anything else to improve his game.

i am probably in the minority on this one , but i say oj mayo.. i am just not buying into all the rose hype.. he is an outstanding athlete but he hasnt shown he can run a team or consistently hit a jump shot.. mayo is already a good defender and natural scorer who will come in immediately and have a positive impact in the nba..

I think Derrick Rose will be the better pro. He just has so much more upside right now, but I think he's still pretty raw. So O.J. Mayo will have a better rookie (and maybe 2nd year) than Rose, but Rose will have the better NBA carrer

Same here, I don't like the way Beasley acts. But anyways, its too early to say. I think Mayo is making more noise than Beasley is.

I think Derrick Rose will be better. He has better players around him than OJ Mayo....I actually hope Kevin Love is the best player.

it looks like derrick rose has caught the attention of everyone in the entire US, which is easily said because he was the #1 overall pick, but only time can tell who will shine more in a harder league with harder players.

I don't care what anyone says just cause you're number one doesn't mean anything. O.J. Mayo is probably the most mature player out of college into the pros now. He plays mature and he acted like a pro when he was in college. O.J. Mayo was ready for the NBA when he was in High School. He is just so relaxed on the court and so calm with the rock and is a play maker.
