I'm thinking about dropping Jason Campbell and picking up Warner to back up McNabb on my team. Mainly want to do it if it looks like Warner will win the job.. which it does...

  1. Warner if they want to win now and Leinart if they want to try and save face because he was their top draft pick.

I believe it will be Warner though its not 100% yet

  2. Kurt Warner is definitely the Arizona starter this year. BUT... Kurt Warner may be benched after week 8 if the Cards think that Leinart can lead the offense again.

  3. Dude after that Matt Leinert 4 int toss vs the Raiders.i believe he is gonna have to be on the bench for the next 4 years(sarcastic)! But he wont be starting,if anything he will be back in a couple of weeks because Warner is too inconsistant!

  4. Its not confirmed, but this is how it is right now.

Warner basically has the job won

But the coaches and the GM favor Leinart more.

Just like with Favre and Rodgers. But not as bad, lol.

  5. I heard on ESPN that Warner is gonna be the starter. I think I heard that Monday or Tuesday of this week so things might have changed but I doubt it.

  6. "The Arizona Cardinals are expected to name Kurt Warner as the team's starting quarterback, a team source said Sunday. Matt Leinart's poor performance Saturday night against the Oakland Raiders probably sealed the decision. Leinart had three interceptions in the first half and completed just 4 of 12 passes for 24 yards. The source said Leinart's training-camp performance has been uneven, and the Cardinals are concerned about his arm strength and consistency. After the game, coach Ken Whisenhunt said Leinart was still in the running for the Cardinals' starting job." - ESPN

Along with a starting position as the Cardinals starting QB, Warner is projected to throw 20 touchdowns which should be a big plus. He sounds like a safe bet as your back-up for now. See how the season goes and if he begins to perform poorly you can always trade or pick someone up.
