  1. Whaddya mean "who WILL be...?"  When are you talking about?  Next year?  10 years from now?

All I know is PHIL MICKELSON IS the #2 golfer in the world, right now, and he's going to solidify that position this weekend with victory at Riviera!

  2. I think if KJ Choi takes it this weekend he should be #1, but the whole standings system is screwy

  3. Phil Mickelson would have to be second to the throne.

  4. Phil.....He has his game back....

  5. vijay

  6. Adam Scott.

  7. At the end of 2008 it will be Phil Mickelson.

At the end of 2009 - it will be one of the young guns. Scott, Rose, Donald etc...

  8. Justin Rose...he's still young and improving.

  9. I honestly think that this year either Adam Scott or Vijay will make good contenders. I know Phil is always a good candidate, but Adam Scott's clutch 61 during the last round at the Qatar Masters shows he can come through in the last round. I think Vijay is a good contender as well because of his new swing. Phil also has a good chance because him and Butch are starting to improve on his inconsistency. I only put him a smidge behind Scott and Singh because of his 11 at the AT&T. I also think some other candidates include KJ Choi, Rory Sabbatini, Stricker, Ernie and Henrik Stenson. Weir's performance at the President's Cup against Tiger was remarkable so he is another possibilty. Sure he was riding the support of an entire nation, but he was head-to-head with the greatest of all time and he still managed to pull away. Also, Davis Love III and Justin Leonard are both back this season. Leonard already has had several Top-10s and Davis Love is looking to rebound after a shaky few years. I wouldn't count on it happening this year, but young Brandt Snedeker and Hunter Mahan will be some young guns to look out for in the near future.

  10. probably still Mickelson but steve Stricker could steal #2 spot if he has a good season
