  1. In order to answer this you must consider coach Nolan's very consistent behavior, Alway bench your best chance to win.

Shaun Hill proved he can play last year so it cannot be him.

Alex Smith has the most experience of the 3 options and with these players, so it cannot be him.

J.T. has barely taken a snap in a real game since he came into the league and many coaches and teams have evaluated him but chose not to play him.

It must be him because statistically he gives us the best chance to lose, of coarse if he does well Nolan will bench him.......sigh.

  2. shaun hill i hope when he played last year he did pretty good.

  3. O'Sullivan started to really show some signs of life in that second quarter, and Green Bay had the majority of it's starters in the whole first half. I think O'Sullivan for now. I am definitely psyched about the way the Niners defense has been playing, and Morgan definitely deserves a shot at starting at WR. If O'Sullivan can take a step forward in each of the next two preseason games I might get my hopes up for a playoff spot. His interceptions have been careless, but when he pulls himself together he looks decent, and decent would be amazing right now.

  4. it will be alex smith

  5. I've ordered my custom JT O'Sullivan Niner jersey.

EDIT:  There are only two teams in the NFL who's (projected) starting QB's have only 1 career TD.  Hint: they played each other saturday.

  6. JT, and that's pretty freakin crappy.

  7. I am hoping Alex Smith will retain. The kid's never had a chance with a different offensive coordinator each year. If they could have kept hold of Turner, this wouldn't even be a conversation. Now they have another offensive genious who will finally utilize the run, so Smith will have less pressure. I still think he is the best athlete of them all.

That being said, why didn't the niners pick up freakin Chad Pennington when the Jets dropped him? If nothing else, he'd have made a great freakin mentor!

Shark, O'Sullivan didn't end the year for the niners last year, that was Shaun Hill.

  8. I'm gonna Go with J.T O'Sullivan.  He ended the 2007-08 Season bringing the Niners out of a horrible season.  Has started both preseason games.  Did ok in first but made up with the game versus Green Bay even though he threw one INT.  He'll be the starter unless he gets hurt or start throwing games away.
