Gary Kirsten has been appointed as Coach of Indian Cricket team for a period of 2 years effective from 1st March,2008.

It is to be seen whether his contract will be extended or a new coach will be appointed in his place.

I think Gary Kirsten is doing a decent job and his contract is uptill March 2010, it is yet to be seen that whether BCCI will extend his contract or not! If BCCI willn't be satisfied with Kirsten's  then, they also 've other options like John Buchanan and Tom Moddy! But i think Gary Kirsten is doing a good job and hence he will remain as the coach!

If kirsten did the job well during the year, then his contract might be extended otherwise BCCI will have to consider again with the names of some experienced veterans like Whatmore or Buchanan.
