Who will be the new Lions coach?

Well, was anyone expecting the news today about Leigh Matthews?

Leppitsch (current Assistant)

Wallace (Richmond)

Choco Williams (Port)

Laidley (Kangas)

Chances are they might even be poaching assistant coaches from Geelong and Hawthorn

I also note the Freo assistant coach did not want to renew his contract

I'm tipping Vossy!!! Ha ha (he was appointed before I wrote this). I'm ecstatic! I'm a Dogs supporter, but I live in QLD and am a member of the Lions and the Bulldogs. I think it will be great for the game up here.

The Eagles have given Vossy permission to speak with the Lions, so my money would be on him.

Shows the kind of guy Vossy is, that he went and ASKED the Eagles if he could talk with the Lions.

Nah i wasnt, i thought he was going to stick by the club for another couple of years. I feel sorry for him, for four years now the lions have not made the finals yet matthews has tried so hard & has really never given up.

New Coach - i would have thought vossy, but hes at west coast, so im really not sure, maybey they should appoint an assistant coach or something

choco williams. port happy to see him go. he will be good for a few years before everyone gets sick to death of him, as they always do after a while. maybe port could sniff out matthews!
