Who will be the new president of United States?

Hi, I'm not a US citizen but I find the presidential elections kinda interesting especially with Barrack Obama in the picture. His race is black and there is a high chance he may win.

I have other questions as well. Why did Obama choose Joe biden as his vice-president and not Hillary clinton? And why did John Kerry, the contender in the 2004 presidential elections against President Bush not running for presidency? I remembered he was very popular at that time and I'm sure many people will vote for him if he runs for the elections this time.

And who do you think the new president will be?

No one knows for sure.  Bush has the lowest popularity rating of any president,but people fear out of control spending if a democrat is elected.

As a result all polls indicate a virtual tie in the number of votes.

McCain is trying to distance himself from Bush, but voted with him 95% of the time and is a fervent supporter of an unpopular war based on lies.

A lot of people base their vote on a single issue such as abortion and g*y marriage.

I think Biden was the wrong choice but I think Obama was swayed by the Dems to bring him in rather than Clinton. Not sure why Kerry didn't run. Perhaps he's still spreading c**p about global warming without concrete proof but I do think he would have made a good prez as well

What I don't understand is that as someone here said, people are afraid of runaway spending by Democrats. Haven't the Republicans under Bush run up the spending and debt like never before?  It's amazing that we in the United States have become such a great country, with so many dumb people!   Or have we become dumber?

I truly think McCain will win in the end.  Obama didn't choose Hillary because he (rightly so) believes she would have overshadowed his Presidency.  As for John Kerry, you will find that those who recieve thier party's nomination and wind up losing the general election usually don't run again.  

The best President we ever had was Abraham Lincoln.

McCain /  They all had their faults, but Clinton he was a master charmer. The only person I know that no matter how much c**p was threw at him it just slid right off.
