Who will be the next King of England?

Will it be Charles or William? Or is there a chance the monarchy will end with Elizabeth?

Unless Charles dies before his mother he will be the next King. There's something called the law of Sucession which determines who succeeds as monarch.

The Queen is extremely unlikely to abdicate and Charles will not renounce his right to the throne so unless he predeceases his mother he will be the next King.

Charles is next in line for the thrown, because he is the queen's eldest son.

Only if he abdicates will William become the next king.

if Charles outlives his mother then he will be King, but he may not.  if Queen Elizabeth lives as long as her own mother, she could easily outlive him.

Charles will be the next King and then will be followed by William.  Of course, it's always possible that unforeseen events could change this.  I do not believe that the monarchy will end with Elizabeth II.

If the "subjects" were allowed to vote - it would probably be a close run thing between Robbie Williams, Simon Cowell and Rolf Harris.

But like it or not, we will accept the crown passing to Charles - assuming he survives Elizabeth II and despite some of his questionable antics and eccentricities.

Democratic procedures produce the likes of bush, bliar, brown et al - so the heredity system for producing a Head of State still has a few things going for it.

Of course, either Charles or William will be the next King.

As for Queen Elizabeth  she will live for years. I think, Charlie will die sooner.

So - if the Queen is not going live forever, we will se William Windsor the next King of England.
