  1. george bush

  2. As the first respondent said, it will be Charles.  If he predeceases his mother, it will be his first-born son and heir, William.

The queen is very, very unlikely to abdicate.  She regards it as a job for life, and not to be taken lightly.

"Queen Elizabeth has stated that she has no plans to abdicate, because, when she took her oath, it was for life. Should she become unable to carry out her duty, for example because of serious illness or incapacity, the Prince of Wales would take over authority, acting as Regent."

  3. Okay, so everyone else answered the question, thats itl be Charles..

But i just had to add...My god william is hot :P haha!!

  4. A recently leaked document suggests that upon the death of Her Majesty, the Prime Minister will pretend to proclaim a republic. But this will merely be a cover for Rory Emerald to come forth and appeal to the British love of tradition, titles and stilton cheese. Then by public acclaim he will become the Emperor-Protector of the United Kingdom.

  5. As everyone has said, Prince Charles is heir apparent. The title 'Prince of Wales' can only be taken by the heir apparent to the throne. However, Charles does not have to predecease his mother for Prince William to become king. Charles may choose to abdicate in favour of his eldest son.

All that said and done, the Queen is said to have taken a private coronation oath that she will remain on the throne until she dies, which means Prince Charles is likely to be rather old by the time of his accession. Under those circumstances, he may well choose to abdicate in favour of Prince William. Who knows what may happen when the time comes?

  6. Prince Charles without a doubt.

  7. Charles unless he dies before the Queen. Then it would be William, next Harry.

  8. Prince Charles.

If he dies, then prince William,

    then prince Harry.

  9. Her son Charles is the next in line...followed by his son, William.

  10. prince charles if he is still alive if he is'nt then charles.

  11. Prince Charles . There are no elections for Head of State in the great "democracy" of Great Britain

  12. I'd love to see William and Harry both be kings after Queen Elizabeth and Charles die. They could be like a tag team of  co-leader kings, just them and not get married. They would be an awesome team and I can't wait until William has his turn. Just watch what he will do. With Harry adding the 'spare' and perhaps unconventional point of view, they would be a dynamic duo!!

Charles has some good ideas also but he is a coward and would be too coy to make changes.

  13. When the Queen dies, Charles will be king if he is still alive. If he predeceases his mother, William will be king.

  14. If the queen has any sense she will name william as her heir.

  15. Obviously Charles. *laugh* King Charlie *laugh* He and Queen Camillia

  16. Hope Charles gives William the crown.

  17. THE WINDSORS NO LONGER RULE ANYTHING, THANK GOODNESS.  I AM SHOCKED AND SADDENED THAT SO MANY AMERICANS PAY ATTENTION TO EUROPEAN ROYALTY AT ALL.  MY ANCESTORS CAME HERE TO ESCAPE ALL THAT - EVEN MY HESSIAN ANCESTOR HAD THE BRAINS TO TRADE HIS RED COAT FOR A BLUE ONE AND JOINED UP WITH THE CONTINENTAL ARMY.
