  1. American Public.

  2. if gas drops 2 bucks a gallon I dont care who gets rich

  3. I don't know of any oil Companies that President Bush owns. Can you give a link showing one? I guess you don't mind paying 4.00+ a gallon for gas, if so thank a Democrat they are the ones responsible.

  4. Neither. The oil companies already have millions of acres to explore and develop. If these areas are opened up, then no one will develop them either.

  5. Bush doesn't have any oil companies.  As the President, he's not allowed to.  So, by default, the answer is the American public.

  6. The American Public -

Just the annoucement that the ban has been lifted will curb speculation.

By the way - exactly which oil companies is Bush's??? Last I checked Bush was in the executive branch - not the legislative.

  7. "...Bush's oil companies..."

Help me out here, Binky, just WHICH of The Evil Oil Companies are 'Bush's oil companies'?

    Sorry, I CAN'T HEAR YOU!

  8. Bush.  Why?  Because he is getting kick backs from the oil companies.

The oil companies will just sell it around the world to increase their profits even more than what they currently are...they will not sell it to the US because they are not LOYAL to the USA.

  9. You and me.

I really don't think Bush owns any oil companies any more.

  10. Oil companies.  There are already 68 million acres of offshore leases held by oil companies that are not being developed.

If they are not developing the 68 million acres that are in their possession, then opening up another 68 million isn't going to make a difference.

The US consumes 25% of the worlds oil and has about 3% in reserves.  Since supply and demand drive the price, it isn't going to change as long as that percentage favors importation.

  11. American Public, Bush doesn't have oil fields...duh!

  12. bush....they already have like 64million acres that are unused so why do they need more? yeah sounds to me like they just want more property

  13. The Bush family is definitely invested in oil. Until he became Governor of Texas, George Bush was the chairman of the board of Harkin Oil, which received a huge contract for the Middle East. A tiny company that won out over the oil giants, it was rumored that Papa Bush, then vice-president, had engineered the deal.

The Bush Family also had stock in the Carlyle Group, which they have recently either sold or hidden their interests in.  Also investing in the Carlyle Group, a huge international Corporation with contracts for airplane security equipment and munitions, among other things, was the Senior bin Laden, father of Osama.  He also faded from the board of the company, along with Papa Bush.  Many political figures had interests in the Carlyle Group, including James Baker.

George Bush, d**k Cheney, Condoleezza Rice and Donald Rumsfeld ALL have oil stock and you can rest assured they  are profiting quite nicely from it.

  14. Out of those two options... neither will benefit.

The oil companies are lobbying politicians at the highest level to allow them to drill more oil out of the ground, which will have virtually no effect on the street price of gas, but it will definitely make the oil companies even richer as they stockpile what they drill rather than distributing it, and let market speculators drive the prices as is currently happening. All that may even be an excuse for prices to go up since oil companies will incur more expenses due to extra drilling activity. Of course they'll be making a killing but we don't need to know that, right?

  15. Bush's oil company went bankrupt a long time ago. Dumbass.

All will benefit. From the explorer to the refiner to the distributor to the retailer to YOU the user.

Wise up and think for a few

  16. Well, since Bush doesn't have any oil companies, I'd have to say the American public.

BTW, is this really the level of intelligent (sic) discourse we consider the norm now?
