Who will de la hoya fight?

since cotto lost today will he still fight de la hoya, or will antonio margarito get a dream shot at the golden boy. Or anyone else

It be the best fight. I was Margarito winning with Cotto cuz it was his big shot and his only shot to get know. Oscar would fight all out cuz its this last fight and margarito would fight to get the fame that he wants. Great fight for sure. Most likely same thing would happen, Margarito would TKO Oscar and if he doesn't it would be won by Oscar(decision) Margarito starts slow and that would aid Oscar if he is going for Decision, and doesn't want to risk it(Who would with Margarito now?)

well at this point nothing's for sure.. it was suppose to be cotto but he lost. and i don't think delhoya will take on margarito. he's to much for him.i think it's mosley, pacman, or trindad.

Man who wants to fight Margarito after what I saw tonight you have to be crazy. The man is a like a rodeo bull that doesnt get tired. I think De La Hoya might take the fight but that wouldnt be a risky move because hes said this will be his last fight.  What a fight LONG LIVE BOXING.

I think it would be a interesting fight between Margarito and De La Hoya for the simple fact that Margarito would be fighting a guy that is equal his size and who has alot more power then Cotto. Cotto just couldnt handle Margaritos size and strength tonight De La Hoya wouldnt have as hard of a time with that but I still wouldnt wanna take on Margarito if I was De La Hoya.

How is De La Hoya gonna fight Pac Man theres too much weight difference.

De La Hoya would get beat fighting any of the big name guys.  Honestly, Cotto, Margarito, Pacquiao, Williams, would all be too much for him.  He's old and slow and never was that good.  However, it would be crazy for Oscar to walk away from 75-100 million dollars.  I would love to see Margarito retire Oscar so that he can finally get the recognition he deserves.  But I think after this Cotto fight he's got recognition, now let's give him his pay day.

I don't think Oscar wants any part of Margarito. Everyone always talks about how Floyd ducked Margarito for years but he wasn't the only one. Oscar, Mosley, Judah, none of them wanted to fight Margarito. If Oscar didn't want to fight him 4 or 5 years ago he sure as h**l wouldn't want to fight him now! Look for an Oscar-Pacquiao match in December now that Cotto is out of the picture.

Look for Margarito to go after Paul Williams next to try to avenge that loss. Williams is hot again after his loss avenging one round blowout of Carlos Quintana.

I agree with the first guy.  He wants no part of the iron chinned, chop you down and wear you out Antonio Margarito.  

If you ordered the Cotto-Margarito fight it was well worth the money.  That was a throwback fight and margarito looked like he could have gone at least 4 or 5 more rounds.

The last shot of Cotto showed it all. His whole face was bloody....And Cotto landed sharp more cleaner punches.  Margarito has a chin out of this world

First of all De la Hoya won't fight Margarito, he clearly said he does not want to fight a Mexican for his last fight. So now its between Pacquiao and Cotto. Since Cotto lost, it will most likely be Pacquiao. And Cotto will probably have a rematch with Margarito.

I have a feeling that despite what everyone is saying, that we're gonna see De La Hoya vs. Margarito on Dec. 6th. Oscar has never ducked a challenge, and I know his competitive juices are flowing right now at the thought of going up against Margarito. Oscar is a fighter and he always wants to fight the best. That's why he went after Floyd because Floyd was considered the best P4P fighter in the sport. Margarito deserves the big payday against Oscar because he's been ducked for years and always comes to fight. He's now shown that he can compete with the elite fighters and I hope he gets a shot at Oscar.

And don't be so quick to automatically dismiss Oscar against Margarito. As I've stated before, boxing is about styles and matchups, and Oscar matches up against Tony better than Cotto did. Oscar is just as tall as Margarito, is faster, has a good left jab, has equal or more power, and is a smart fighter with a good chin of his own. I think it would be a tremendous fight, not the blowout for Margarito that everyone seems to think it would be, and I hope it happens.

margarito is to big to be in the welter weight division, and the people that are sayin the MX owned PR, i dont think so, Cotto hit this guy with devastating hits and combos, so OWNED wouldn't be the word , MX just got the best out of it, one question i have to ask is"is margaritos chin REALLY steel?!"
