When they interviewed Reutimann in the pre race show before the Bristol race, he said he would be back next year driving the 00 again

and then Michael Waltrip confirmed that on "This Week In Nascar"

also Waltrip said the 00 would again be sponsored by Aarons.

So, my question is, who will drive the 44? What do you all think?

  1. Who knows, I like Mikey and I wish him the best but I think it might be JJ yeley or A.J. Allmendinger Who else is next Scott Riggs maybe?

    GO HMS 24  88  44  5

  2. I think Michael McDowell will run it. I think he has made a commitment to have him as his driver. I think moving David back into the #00 makes sense. He was doing pretty well for himself in the races before he was shuffled to the #44 where he floudered for a bit, but seems to be on steady ground now. I'm glad that Aaron's decided to step up & return to sponsor him.

The question on the #44 that I have is who will sponsor it?

  3. Poblo Montoya

  4. I think MWR is going to cut back to 2 teams next year because sponsorship can't be found for third car. Aaron's loves David but wanted to keep with the #00 car. #44 will probably go back to the Pettys since they want to field a third car by 2010. As always just an opinion.

  5. UPS is most likely leaving the 44 and MWR following this season and apparently will sponsor David Ragan and RFR in 2009. Aaron's last week announced they will sponsor the 00 for 18 races with David Reutimann as the driver. So with this announcement I expect the 44 to be shut down and MWR will be a two car team unless it merges with someone.
