Will people realize there's an offensive AND defensive rookie of the year award?

On offense, I'd say Darren McFadden. He's my pick mainly because I expect him to see considerable playing time as a rookie. Mendenhall will share too many carries with Willie Parker and unless Jake Long looks like Jonathan Ogden, I don't see any other linemen garnering that award. If McFadden stays healthy and the Oakland line shows even slight improvement from last year (6th best rushing attack in the league) he's the pick.

Defensively, I'm taking Vernon Gholston. Athletically, he's extremely gifted and if he becomes more versatile with his moves, Gholston can rack up at least 10 sacks, maybe more. He's on a team who may garner a wildcard berth, so producing on a contender makes him a better pick for ROY.

Most likely Steve Slaton. Texans actually have a fairly good line. Green is slowing down and is injury prone so expect Slaton to get a bout 1,100 yards and 8 touchdowns.

Kevin Smith: He has enough skills to do it too but without an offensive line he won't break 1,000 yards.

Ryan Torain: He also comes close to the top of my list but him and Young will probably split time right down the middle.

Matt Ryan: He's got talent but really only Roddy White is the guy to throw to now the Crumpler is a Titan

Darren McFadden: Two reasons. 1. He's splitting time with Fargas. 2. RAIDERS HAVE NO OFFENSIVE LINE! McFadden get 800 yards, 9 touchdowns, and a decent yards per carry average.

Matt Forte: I think he has the skills to do it but without a passing game teams will load the box, and he doesn't have the same line A.P. has.

Jonathan Stewart: He has a pretty good offensive line but will be splitting with Williams.

Felix Jones, Ray Rice, Jamaal Charles, Rashard Mendenhall, Mike Hart: They're all playing behind just to good of running backs
