Who will get the Wooden Spoon?

I know you all are not interested in the bottom end of the ladder, and this question is academic, but look at the fixture. Top Draft Pick for who is last.

Melbourne (favourites) play Geelong L, West Coast W/L (who wants bottom most?), Port Adelaide L, and Richmond W/L ( if they play fair dinkum).

West Coast - Essendon L, Melbourne at MCG W/L (they need to lose this one), Hawthorn L, and Geelong L.

Percentages are pretty even so Demons and WC looms as the big chokers game?

  1. I still think Melbourne will win the Spoon. I feel sorry for them, but with their form, they will finish on the bottom.

  2. Melbourne for sure.

And they deserve it as well - anyone who has the likes of Jim Stynes running the club deserves all they get.

If the competition ran for a few more weeks Collingwood would be in the mix!

  3. i don't like football,sorry

but my guess is who ever ends up there

    have a good day

  4. west coast

    they are hopeless

  5. Melbourne, without a doubt.

Essendon, with the same 25 players to choose from every week because of injury, are exhausted. They played so badly on Saturday, because of that exhaustion, that the Dees' performance was highlighted as beyond saving.

What they need is not first pick of the draft, but first pick of any club's coaches!

  6. melbourne

  7. I don't know who will get it - Maybe Melbourne.

But Collingwood really deserve it. What a team of under achievers & whingers.

  8. melbourne had the wooden spoon in the trophy cabinet 10 weeks ago.

  9. WCE  NO wukins!!

  10. Melbourne will....... they suck!!! lol

  11. West Coast is a game ahead of Melbourne, old boy, so Melbourne need to make up a game on them.

West Coast play Essendon over in Perth, and have a good chance of beating them over there, while Mel play Geelong ( and will almost certainly get thrashed)

So in there round 20 clash WC could be 2 games up, but will be up by at least 1

If Mel wins R20, they will be even steven,

if WC wins they will be 2 ahead (unless WC beat ESS and its 3 )

Then Mel has Port ( possible loss) and Richmond (loss)

While WC has Hawks and Gelong ( two losses)

    So..

If Ess can beat WC over there, and then Mel come out and beat Port,

    R20 will decide it.

Otherwise, Westcoast will finish at least a game ahead, if not 2

    Think this is right....

  12. depends, if melbourne beat wce thn they'll hav the same amount of points n wce hav geelong n hawthorn, they'll smashed there n will loose ALOT of percentage

if wce win, well thn the deez'll get the spoon n theres nothin else to it!

  13. deez

  14. Melbourne. I don't think that Melbourne will win to many games to get them off the bottom. If they do it will go to West Coast.

  15. melbourne .... but knowing their luck they mighn't be able to even win THAT!!!

  16. Well Melbourne duh!

  17. west coast have it already

  18. Put the glasses down, the D's were unlucky not get the spoon last year but they have sewn it up for 2008. West Coast will finish a close 15th but Melbourne will be too good.
