  1. I think Matt Ryan will. THe other three will not be that good.

  2. Ryan, you guys just watch. to me hes very composed

  3. JaMarcus RUssell .. he can throw the ball 70 yards without moving his legs and he has the size of a linebacker ... any quarterback that physicaly strong will have a long and sucsessfull career in the NFL

  4. I say Leinart. He can learn from Warner.

  5. in order

    Lineart

    Cutler

    Ryan

    Russell

  6. Cutler

    Russell

    Ryan

    Lienart

  7. Cutler - top notch NFL QB skills, better organization, better coaching, the team is just starting to be built around Cutler.  No where to go but up.

Leinert - Best WR group if the bunch, they need a better OL and running game though.

Russell - totally unproven NFL talent, and Okalnd hasn't shown the past several years that they are that committed to building a quality team.

Ryan - just lots and lots of question marks.

  8. My guess is Cutler. Lienart might have trouble with his front line, as far as them protecting him. Ditto for Russell as well. As far as Ryan; Who?

  9. here's my order:

    Matt Ryan

    Matt Lienart

    Jay Cutler

    JaMarcus Russel

Ryan will probably be a clutch QB like Brady or Manning (not Eli).

Lienart can still improve his playing skills and stats as well.  Cutler is a hard pick, mostly because he needs to become more comfortable in the pocket.  Russell just does not play like a starting-QB should, he makes poor choices, not nearly accurate enough, and no amount of arm strength will get you anywhere in the NFL without an accurate arm.  I know he's only played a few games, but he looks unfit to be a starting QB.

  10. Definitely Jay Cutler. He's already proved himself better than all the other starting QB's who came out in the 05' draft, Leinert, Young and Smith. I think that Cutler's performance was probably seriously affected by his Diabetes last season, so he'll probably have that cannon of an arm we saw in his first year again. My younger brother has Diabetes and I remember when he was diagnosed, he could barely move, let alone play a whole football game, so I think that will be a major thing. Overall, look at the situations for those QB's:

Russell: First full season starting for a team that hasn't had a winning season since 2002, and has NO legitimate threats at WR.

Leinart: Battling for his job, after partying his way to something of a reputation during the offseason. Yeah, some career he's having...

Ryan: First year starter for arguably the worst team in the NFL, also lacks legitimate WR threats, has no expierence and is being coached by Mike Smith, a former D-Coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars, who hasn't ever had a first round QB to develop. I don't see his career going anywhere huge...

  11. Cutler has to be the favorite here.  Leinart has already struggled mightily even though he has good talent around him.  Ryan is walking into a franchise that is rebuilding from the ground up.  Unfortunately for Russell, he plays for the Raiders. And Al Davis is still calling the shots so that's a serious problem.  That team did draft some good talent, but they've been in complete disarray for the past few years.  Cutler has an owner that is sane, a proven offensive minded head coach with a proven offensive system, and now that he's got his diabetes under control and an emerging offensive talent around him (Marshall, Scheffler & a good running game no matter who carries the ball) he clearly has the advantage over those other guys you mentioned.

  12. Jay Cutler.
