clippers. denver has now lost any of the defense it used to have. they'll be like the suns, but not as effective. they'll try to win by outscoring their opponents.

although the nuggets had a much better season last year they had atrocious defense, now that their only good defensive center, camby, left (ironically to the clippers) their lack of defense will be unmercifully exploited since they now have no big man to intimidate anybody driving into the key, iverson is on the decline and anthony is having a lot of problems on and off the court

the clippers even with the loss of brand and maggette have improved, they had to play all of last season without brand, maggette and dunleavy had butted heads for years and with him gone the team can focus on winning, thornton will be a year better and gordon will be a great rookie for the clippers as a backup for baron davis, the clippers also picked up a bunch of great free agents, they got baron davis who in an nba where teams need a good point guard to survive will really help the clippers, they got ricky davis who is a solid 15+ppg and jason williams who is a solid pg and dont forget camby and kamen who will be a great duo in the front court they are two big men who average at least 13rpg and 2.5bpg

so overall, the clippers will do better next season

Well the Clippers have Marcus Camby & Baron Davis. And the Nuggets have Allen Iverson & Carmelo Anthony and the nuggets have barely no one and with Marcus Camby gone and with a bunch of rookies they aren't going no where! So the Clippers will have the better season!

obviously the nuggets. i mean yes they are getting old with melo and iverson and camby. but they do have a strong front. look at the clippers, just traded their best player-elton brand to the sixers. they havent always  been a contender and now this really hurts their chances. definitely the nuggets, they should be a playoff contender this year.

OK - Answer Clippers. First I'll say why Nuggets won't. By trading away Camby the Nuggets have gone and disposed of the only player who was able to play anything resembling defence on that team. Now they have two selfish, egotistical ball-hogs in AI and Melo - who will be competing not so much for winning but more for who can get the most exposure for their respective endorsers (Rbk, Jordan)..

Meanwhile Clippers have been rebuilding quietly, despite the huge loss of Brand. In David they get a great scorer and on-court leader, as well as someone to mento future star Eric Gordon..Look for Clippers to win 48 games and sneak into playoff spot 7; while Nuggets narrowly miss winning 40.
