  1. AND OBAMA plans of fixing the Economy by raising taxes on the rich! that is a  real smart plan seeing how the rich ALREADY pays 90% of this countries taxes. Raising taxes is NOT how you fix our economy!

  2. Sarah Palin is a strong reformer.  She has taken on corruption in Alaska (even in her own party) and has zero tolerance for waste and inefficiency.  She is a strong Conservative who believes in letting the people keep as much of their own money as possible and that the Government must be responsible in the handling of the taxpayers money that they do collect.

You will see a far better and more robust economy with the McCain/Palin ticket than the Liberal new guy/ Liberal old guy ticket.

    *

  3. Tune into FOX News and see what she did to the Alaskan Government, She cleaned up their corrupt government there, Why can't she help in Washington?

  4. THEY CALL THAT GUY THE CHAIRMAN OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE . . . HIS NAME IS BEN BERNAKE . . .. USED TO BE ALAN GREENSPAN. PULL YOUR HEAD OUT FROM UNDERNEATH THE OLD PROVERBIAL ROCK . . .  WHY DOES EVERYONE THINK THAT THE PRESIDENT DOES ALL OF HIS THINKING, IF HE HAD TO FIND A SOLUTION FOR EVERY PROBLEM BY HIMSELF, HE'D NEVER MAKE IT PAST THE FIRST YEAR; HE'D DIE OF SLEEP DEPRAVATION. HE HAS A WHOLE CABINET OF ADVISORS . . . NONETHELESS HE STILL HAS TO CHOOSE THE BEST GUYS FOR HIS CABINET AND IN THE END HE IS STILL THE ONE WHO MAKES THE ULTIMATE DECISION. EVEN IF HE DOES HAVE A GREAT IDEA, IT WOULD STILL BE WISE FOR HIM TO RUN IT PAST THE FINANCIAL GURUS. DIDN'T YOU EVER WATCH "DAVE?"

  5. That government is best which governs least.

Unfortunately, our focus on the presidency has permitted a Congress to become a world unto itself. They couldn't get much farther from their intended function, which is to remain vigilant in the service of those who granted them the opportunity to serve.

Any impact the federal government may have on the economy is part and parcel, one hundred percent, the doings of Congress.

How much money can the president spend?

    Not one plugged nickel.

    ...

  6. McCain is senile and doesn't care about the economy. He thinks he's gonna win cause the other guy is black. He hasn't got a clue how to better Washington or the nation as a whole. Why is anyone voting for this boring old man anyways? Shouldn't he be in a retirment home or something? Can you believe he said the U.S. should make a stand against Russia? WTF was he thinking? Aren't we in enough trouble already as it is with Iraqistan? This man wants to continue the war... Hasn't anyone out there noticed this is Bush part 3?

  7.   No one can help Republicans to fix the economy until they learn how to balance a budget. The economy can not be fixed with a policy of continual deficit spending.

  8. None of them. They won't be elected.

  9. Since when has a politician been able to fix anything?

Honestly, do you think that the president can "control" the economy?

The only thing that a government can do that effects the economy directly is restrict commerce, (which may be unconstitutional by the way), enact restrictive regulations and laws, raise / lower taxes, nationalize industries, (again, unconstitutional). The raising and lowering of interest rates is a function of the federal reserve. (which is not controlled by the government, Thank God!)

If you aim is to "fix" the economy there are a few things that you can do. One is to buy stuff, You could also invest your money. Or start a business and employ people. Pay off your debts and stay out of debt.

The economy is in your hands, not the presidents. Amazing concept isn't it?

May I ask you liberals a simple question?

It used to be that you wanted an "outsider" in Washington. Now you salivate at the prospect of an "insider" like Joe Biden, What gives?

  10. According to McCain, the economy doesn't need fixing.

  11. Not Sarah Palin.. this is what her own colleagues think of her being selected as McCain's running mate...

Alaska State Senate President Lyda Green (R): “She’s not prepared to be governor. How can she be prepared to be vice president or president? Look at what she’s done to this state. What would she do to the nation?”  (Green is from Palin’s home town of Wasilla.)

Alaska House Speaker John Harris (R): “She’s old enough. She’s a U.S. citizen.”

EDIT: u.r.crabs... you really think that McCain is better on the economy? He wants to raise the taxes of 95% of Americans and lower the taxes for the TOP 5%.. Obama wants the exact opposite. Those are facts. If you still think McCain is better, ask him yourself.. McCain will tell you he don't know much about the economy.

  12. wrong. After the ABC Debates, economists said Obama does not understand economics. ABC's Stephanolopous refused to allow Obama to give a non direct answer. When Obama did give an answer it proved Obama was clueless about the economy.

NBC refused to ask Obama any hardball questions.

  13. I think Palin is better than McCain, but I continue to believe McCain should turn the economy over to Ron Paul.

  14. Gov Palin ran the economy of a state just like the President does. What economic, administrative, executive experience does Obama have. Did Obama somehow become an economic genius in his four years in the Senate, McCain didn't get in the same Senate?

  15. Palin does not know about economics either. Palin comes from a state that depends on shipping raw materials to Asia for its wealth.

If you thought it was bad with getting sold out now just wait for Sarah Home Maker to start talking international trade.

  16. That's the difference between us conservatives and you "look to the government for all of the answers" liberals.  Conservatives want to get most government obstacles and bureaucracies out of the way so that the economy will function properly on its own.

  17. The economy grew at a 3.3% clip in Q2....just relax, the party nor the hangover last forever.  YOU should worry about YOUR economy, not ask some stranger to run for president to fix it for you.

  18. But you will agree that McCain is better than the half-term Senator when in comes to economy, isn't it? be honest. McCain is better.

  19. Another Liberal pathetically taking a Liam shot at Republicans . Here's a clue for you :Only a fool would fall for Obama's Con . Truth hurts Huh?

  20. All I can say is if McCain wins this election, America is really about to be a third world country. This country is already finanically suffering and the Republicans don't seem to care one bit. All they care about is their tax cuts for the rich, raising gas prices, shipping jobs oversees so their big corporations can get tax cuts, keeping us in debt by fighting this war in Iraq, making sure people foreclose and loose jobs, and keeping poor people down by not offering any programs or healthcare. If McCain wins, Lord help us.

  21. sheez...you liberals really need to take an economics class. enrich yourselves.

yes, the economy is in a recession right now. but guess what? a capitalist economy works in cycles. that is, there is a peak, then it goes down to a recession, then it works back up to a peak. i can't remember how many years a full cycle is (from peak to recession and back again), but i remember it was several. in other words, after the economy troughs out, if it hasn't already, it'll get better.

geez...your're so used to everything being perfect in america that when something goes wrong, you freak out and blame the president. it's the way a freakin' capitalist market works, get over it. but you guys would prefer socialism or communism, wouldn't you?

anyway...while i don't think mccain knows much about the economy...he certainly knows more than obama.
