OK footy fans - from your team, or elsewhere if you prefer, who will kick a goal against a 30kph wind, without his boot, from a minus angle, in front of a hostile mob, and with every Burgoyne at Port Adelaide on top of him, etc etc?

The man most likely, I think, is Angus Monfries of Essendon.

  1. Davey from the Bombers

  2. I would have to say Lance "Buddy" Franklin will do something unbelievable, or funny. Take on to many people fall over or fumble the ball, get some sort of control under all sorts of pressure from a horrible spot deep in the pocket against the boundry and snap a great goal SOMEHOW

  3. agree with richo fev you just dont know what you will get with richo but  thing for sure he will bust a gut giving it all so i recon he will kick the raculus goal of 2008 and miss the easiest shot of the year also

  4. It will be Nick Davis of the Sydney Swans and it might look like it is impossible (it will be when they play Essendon at Telstra Stadium in Sydney) but nothing is impossible for this

player who I think almost single handedly got the Swans into the 2005 Grand Final.  Go Nick!!!    Errrr  I don't think it will be Barry Hall!!!!!!!!!  Bazza has been having trouble even seeing the ball let alone kicking it.  If it 'aint Nick then I would hope it could be Richo.  I have always liked him and the dramas and the missed shots.  Over the years he has deserved a better team to help him out and kick the ball properly to him.

  5. With all those obstacles, it would have to be Richo.

However, put him in the MCG, 15 metres out, sunshine & a gentle breeze at his back, 50,000 Tiger fans cheering him on, and it'll be out on the full.

  6. Buddy Franklin of Hawthorn, the one player I would like to see move to Geelong.

  7. Lance Frankilin's a good one. Does Aker still play? If he does, he'll prob kick it. The other suggestions were all good.

  8. Alma Fudd or is it Rudd from the west

  9. Who cares?!

I don't care who kicks the Impossible Goal, as long as it's one to remember for a long time....

  10. Dale Thomas

    or Didak

  11. Impossible goal ... anything by a Freo player!

Um most likely to do that on last years form - Johnson (Geel), Thomas (Coll), Monfries (yeah good choice) .... and the young Rioli guy if he gets a run and has anything of his uncle in his play.

And yes, Richo & Brad Ottens share a certain heritage ... oh yeah it's the forward line at Richmond and wobble knees!

  12. 'Neon' Leon Davis of Collingwood - he has already kicked some impossible goals last season.  Looking forward to his season in '08!
