  1. Steve Redgrave would be a good choice.

However he won 5 gold medals not 6:

    1984 - coxed four

    1988 - coxless pair

    1992 - coxless pair

    1996 - coxless pair

    2000 - coxless four

His sixth medal was a bronze in 1988 in his second event the coxed pair (no longer in the olympics)

I hope it isn't the over paid prima donna - otherwise known as David Beckham

  2. Get Usain Bolt to do it, that way he could light it in 9.69 seconds and London wouldn't have to embarass itself with an attempt at matching Beijing's opening ceremony.

    It's just a shame he's Jamaican =/

    Btw, I live in London.

  3. My guess is David Beckham.

  4. What about the best man in British Football who took the ball to Beijing in China at the Closing Ceremony.  One at start and the other at end.

  5. I have no idea since I don't know much of British athletes. Maybe a medalist from this year's Olympics!

  6. Hopefully no one from China.

  7. its probably chris hoy 'caus he broke the british record by winning 3 gold medals!!!!
